La Flottille

The menu:
We walked down along the (frozen) canal of Versailles Gardens to a restaurant called La Flottille. It was pretty packed with tourists but there was a great view of the gardens. I had the special- pork with penne- it turned out to be a traditional mac and cheese. The salad had a dressing that was simply a diluted mustard- it was full of horseradish! For dessert we split some waffles- they are less sweet than American waffles, but they were delicious with sugar and chocolate sauce! Prof. Turk had told us that the French are more direct than Americans- and Sophie demonstrated that well. It was taking an unusually long time to get our food, so Sophie asked the waiter if he had forgotten us and then told him that she would eat his hand if we didn't get our food soon!
